Exciting rainforest adventure
Experience the rainforest like never before on one of Arenal Volcano’s most exciting tours! Feel the adrenaline rush as you fly from tree top to tree top through a secure system of cables. This tree top canopy tour is not only an exciting adventure, but offers a an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat.
You’ll see the diversity of the rainforest canopy from every platform, which have all been specially designed for observation of wildlife and not to damage it. Most of the bio-diversity in the rainforest is found in the upper levels of the rainforest canopy, and with the unique adventure tour you’ll have a chance to experience this first hand!
The adventure begins when you arrive at the stables and the guides give you a safety briefing. You then get fitted up with your equipment, mount up, and ride 45 minutes through a pasture and wooded area that is host to monkeys, sloths, toucans, and other birds.
Arenal canopy adventure
This tour can also be done without horses, in which case you will take a tractor ride up to the first platform. When you arrive at the canopy, you are given the rest of the necessary equipment and your adventure will begin! Then we continue with a short hike through the forest where a guide gives an informative narration about the forests, plants, and trees that prevail in this kind of tropical area.
The cables, 10 in total, span lengths of 200 meters up to the longest of 800 meters; each cable offers a different sensation and experience crossing canyons, observing waterfalls, over the tops of trees or leaving from a spectacular OBSERVATION TOWER 18 meters high. The Fortuna and Pino Blanco waterfalls, along with the majestic Arenal Volcano accompany us on this trek. Includes: transportation, guide, and all equipment.
